At the edge of the Mediterranean Sea

The Languedoc-Roussillon is set near a coast scattered with fine sand beaches and lively beach resorts, inviting you for swimming and water sports. You can choose from various activities: jet ski, windsurfing, diving, etc. Whether it is by the sea or in the hinterland, the Hérault offers a wide range of leisure activities for all: watch wild animals in the African reserve of Sigean, sensation in the attractions of Europark, etc. But the sea is not the only wealth of the Hérault. The hinterland hides unspoiled landscapes that are perfect for the practise of hikes and outdoor sports.

Vineyards of the Hérault and the Languedoc

After some sports activities, why not treat yourself to a glass of Languedoc wine? The Languedoc-Roussillon boasts with almost 43.000 ha of vineyards, which makes it the biggest wine region of France. After some hard years, the wine region chose for quality in the 1970s, and today it produces various delicious wines with grapes like the Cabernet-sauvignon, the Merlot, the Syrah, the Grenache noir and blanc, the Muscat and the Picpoul. Around Camping l’Emeraude, you can discover the different wines of the Languedoc: the Coteaux du Languedoc, Coteaux des Corbières, Coteaux du Minervois and the Coteaux de Saint-Chinian.
