Carcassonne

Medieval town

The entirely preserved town of Carcassonne is the biggest medieval town of Europe. This magnificent construction is therefore listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. Within the dentiform ramparts and 52 towers you’ll plunge to the heart of the Middle-Ages during a stroll on the cobblestoned streets edged with old buildings. In the centre you’ll find the impressive Comtal castle and the basilica of Saint-Nazaire, known for its rose-windows.
